Call for Abstracts

The Organising Committee invites submissions for the ASDP 2026 Annual Conference, to be held 20–22 August 2026 at the Pullman Melbourne Albert Park.

Under the theme Development and Learning: Unlocking the Puzzles, the Conference will explore the intersection of clinic and classroom. We welcome high-quality submissions that contribute to advancing knowledge, improving clinical practice, and strengthening collaboration across sectors.

This is an opportunity to share research, clinical innovation, service models, case reflections and emerging ideas with colleagues from across developmental and behavioural paediatrics.

What we are looking for

We invite submissions that are relevant to clinicians working in developmental and behavioural paediatrics.

Submissions do not need to align strictly to the conference theme; however, preference may be given to presentations that clearly demonstrate practical relevance and impact.

Presentation formats

Free Papers (Oral Presentations)

  • 10-minute presentation including Q&As

Posters

  • Displayed throughout the Conference networking area
  • 3-minute thesis presentation during the Free Papers session

If demand exceeds available oral presentation slots, the Conference Committee may offer an alternative format.

Encouraging Early Career Clinicians

We strongly encourage submissions from trainees and early-career clinicians. Presenting at ASDP is a valuable opportunity to:

  • Share your work with a national audience
  • Receive constructive feedback
  • Build professional confidence and profile
  • Contribute to the broader ASDP community

Further information about any awards or recognition will be provided closer to the Conference.

Submission Guidelines

  • Be no more than 300 words
  • Clearly state background, aims, methods, results and conclusions where applicable
  • Outline the clinical relevance of the work

All submissions will be reviewed by the Organising Committee. Authors will be notified of the outcome following the review process.
